两个初到社会谋职的青年，因处处碰壁，于是决定合作。他俩屡施妙计，骗财为生。他们先是打财务公司的主意，后来又在马场外开设了一个假的投注站，骗得了一笔巨款。但是靠这些坑蒙拐骗的小伎俩他们始终也不能致富，到头来依然是穷鬼一双。。一名中规中矩的联邦调查局探员约翰贝纳，奉命逮捕六十年代的嬉皮恐怖分子休伊华克。两人在坐火车的回程中，休伊动脑筋把菜鸟约翰灌醉，然后偷了他的证件逃走，约翰倒变成罪犯被关起来。等误会澄清之后，约翰誓言要把休伊再捉回来。。Stephanie, a restless and vibrant actress, meets Gerard, an NYPD counter-terrorism specialist who’s an aficionado of experimental theater (and maybe out of his mind).
