A film about existence, on the boundaries between...。剧中的主人公赵宜宽，怀抱实业救国之梦想，从英国回到济南，白手起家，于乱世风雨中建造起一个属于他的商业王国——大观园，他把毕生的心血投注到大观园中，大观园也融入了他一生的爱恨情仇。剧中父子间、兄弟间、朋友间、情侣间种种真挚的感情和惊心动魄的商场搏杀，生动地重现了大观园从最初的一片荒地演变为闻名华东的综合性商场的传奇经历，再现了过去那个年代济南的商场文化以及人文精神，刻画出凡俗生活里一个个血肉丰满的人物形象。该剧以史实为经，以赵、陆两家三代悲欢离合、恩怨情仇为纬。。冷战时期，一个叛变的克格勃泄露了代码为Operation Glass的惊天阴谋，于是颇具魅力但又偏执的MI5头儿，集结了Sarah，Jim等手下去调查真相。而另有一位叫Joe的探员加入，他天才却爱制造麻烦，能从细节读出人性。。
