女大学生丽乃（井口裕香配音）是一个嗜书如命的女孩，在经过了不懈的努力，千辛万苦终于得到了图书管理员这个职位后，丽乃在第一天上班的时候就遭遇了地震，导致她被书活埋。当丽乃再度恢复意识的时候，发现自己转生，以5岁女孩梅茵的身份来到了异世界中。 让丽乃无法接受的是，这个世界里既没有书店，也没有图书馆，所有可供翻阅的书籍都标记着天价仅供有钱人消遣，作为穷人家的女儿，梅茵这辈子也许都不能够摸到书本。凭借着对书籍的满腔热情，丽乃决定不甘于现状，既然无法买到书，那么就来制作书吧！很快，丽乃的决定就吸引来了志同道合的伙伴们。。What's the only feature film in Hollywood history ever to be narrated by an Academy Award?
