(Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。因为一个酒鬼的几句话，一个骗子一个女演员就甘愿帮一个要自杀的男的差点连命都不要了，而且这俩人最后莫名其妙还在一起了。外科医生冲田一光（木村拓哉 饰）结束了在海外为期十年的学习和实验，满载着经验与热情回到了自己曾经工作过的坛上纪念医院，尽管曾经在这里有过一段并不愉快的回忆，但和离开时的自己相比，如今的冲田一光更加自信和强大。 儿科医生深冬（竹内结子 饰）是院长的女儿，亦是冲田一光曾经的恋人，只是，如今她已经成为了脑外科医生壮大（浅野忠信 饰）的妻子。壮大为了自己在医院的前途和发展做了院长家的入赘女婿，并最终坐上了副院长的位子，沸腾的野心逐渐蒙蔽了壮大的双眼和内心，他一直隐藏着关于冲田一光过去的秘密，但同时亦为冲田一光的医术和人格所倾倒折服。。
