柯南等人受邀前往大阪参与电影《大怪兽哥美拉VS假面超人》的揭幕式，但制片人米仓却在库房离奇死于巨大怪兽道具的身下。众人用来系住怪兽的绳子被锋利物体划断，大阪警署认为这绝不仅是一场简单的事故......。A private detective helps a prostitute being assaulted, and notices that she is wearing a very unique ring. She is later found murdered and there is no trace of the ring, which turns out to be part of a cache of jewelry stolen by the Nazis during World War II and smuggled out of France after the wary by an American army colonel.
