该剧以陕北二次革命时期为背景，以吴儿堡的杨作新、黑大头、白玉娥等人的传奇人生为主线，再现了革命圣地波澜壮阔的历史风云。黑大头是后吴儿堡一个颇有资产的农村汉子，他生性豪爽，仗义疏财，但由于被土匪绑架，继而又被官府打入死牢。黑大头被逼上梁山，带着余匪和妻小上后九天做了山大王。。一只千年妖虾潜入逍遥皇宫欲暗杀帝尊向人族复仇，却遭偃甲大师乐无异高能追捕阻止，在复仇过程中逐渐沾染人情眷恋尘世，萌生做人之心，最终不敌矩木杖对其心念七情的摧毁之力，终入魔道祸乱人间……。In the near future, a towering alien "spike" materializes in Earth's atmosphere, wreaking havoc. Years later, it's still around.
