Tanino will discover that ...。为了提升本地的知名度，大分市市长花宫健一郎（风间杜夫 饰）决定组建一支拉风的女子拔河队，在市政府宣传科的西川千晶（井上真央 饰）被任命为该计划的负责人。虽然本地女子拔河曾有过辉煌时刻，但如今早已今非昔比。苦恼不已的千晶灵机一动，决定将母亲容子（松坂庆子 饰）及其所在的配餐中心姐妹们组织起来。她们和市长约定，如果能取得全国大赛的参赛资格，配餐中心废除的命令就一笔勾销。加上千晶，这支临时拼凑且毫无斗志的女子拔河队总算成形，此外还聘请出自农家的公雄（玉山铁二 饰）担当教练。 通往全国大赛的道路充满磨难，而这支问题与矛盾多多的女子军该如何实现她们心中的目标？。
