苗家小伙项洛是苗族山寨花杆王的传人。因童年时亲眼看到父亲因醉酒爬花杆王丢掉性命，在内心对爬花杆这项苗族传统运动产生畏惧。并同时在心里立下志向：通过学习改变自己的命运。之后他考入大学，学成后回到自己的家乡，想利用自己在大学所学的知识与女友古小麦带领乡亲们致富。 在带领乡亲们致富的过程中，项洛面对视爬花杆王以及夺得花杆王比赛冠军为头等大事的乡亲们时心中产生困惑。在经历与当地乡亲们思想上的磨合后，项洛与乡亲们都能以正确的心态面对生产以及爬花杆这项民族传统运动。最终，决定参加乡里组织的花杆比赛，并且在自己的努力下克服自己的心理障碍。带领本村队伍夺得了花杆王比赛的冠军，也成为了本次比赛的花杆王。。Marple is extremely proud when she is appointed to the board of trustees of a merchant marine training vessel whose mission is to rehabilitate young criminals.
